- The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) (Malay: Tentera Laut DiRaja Malaysia (TLDM) is the naval arm of Malaysia's armed forces. In terms of personnel the RMN is one of the largest fleets in South East Asia and is also considered as one of the more technologically advanced navies in South East Asia.
- The role of the Royal Malaysian Navy is to safeguard Malaysia's coastline, Malaysia's maritime strategic interest, Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), territorial waters, island and as well as to defend Malaysia region against all seaborne threats. All commissioned ships of the RMN have a prefix KD, which means Royal Ship. (In Malay, Kapal Diraja)
