Download- HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën (F802) is the first ship of the De Zeven Provinciën-class of air defence and command frigates in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy.
- There are three more ships in this class, HNLMS Tromp (F803), HNLMS De Ruyter (F804) and HNLMS Evertsen (F805).
- The class was designed in cooperation with Germany and Spain. De Zeven Provinciën is the eighth ship in the Royal Netherlands Navy to carry that name.
- The name refers to the original seven Dutch provinces which together formed the Union of Utrecht. She was built at the Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (before; Koninklijke Schelde Groep) in Vlissingen (eng. Flushing).
- Her design incorporates stealth technology, as well as advanced new radars of a Dutch design such as the SMART-L radar and APAR.
- HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën (F802) is het eerste schip van de De Zeven Provinciën-klasse van de lucht verdediging en commando-fregatten in dienst bij de Koninklijke Marine.
- Er zijn drie meer schepen in deze klasse, HNLMS Tromp (F803), HNLMS De Ruyter (F804) en HNLMS Evertsen (F805).
- De klas werd ontworpen in samenwerking met Duitsland en Spanje. De Zeven Provinciën is het achtste schip in de Koninklijke Marine voor het vervoer van die naam.
- De naam verwijst naar de oorspronkelijke zeven Nederlandse provincies die samen vormden de Unie van Utrecht. Ze werd gebouwd op de Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (vóór; Koninklijke Schelde Groep) in Vlissingen (eng. Vlissingen).
