The fleet is in continuous evolution and the Marina Militare is now equipping herself with a bigger aircraft carrier (the Cavour), new destroyers, submarines and multipurpose frigates.

Oggi la Marina Militare è un moderno marina con le navi di ogni tipo, come la portaerei, cacciatorpediniere, moderne fregate, sottomarini, navi anfibi e molte altre navi più piccole, comprese le navi di ricerca oceanografica.
